Building acoustics include a wide range of issues such as airborne and impact sound insulation, room acoustics, road traffic noise and HVAC noise. The acoustical properties is of great importance from the foundation to the final building according to acoustical requirements and conditions. Common assignments are to establish a pre-qualification questionnaire specifying acoustical requirements, advise the acoustical planning of the building or perform verifying measurements on an existing building to make sure the acoustical requisites are fulfilled.
