ABOUT LAB

Precise measurements of e.g. sound absorption, sound insulation and sound radiation are accessed via Akustikverkstan's own acoustical laboratory. As one of two Swedish laboratories we are since 2013 accredited by Swedac for measurements of sound absorption and since 2016 for airborne and impact sound insulation.

Akustikverkstan Lab is a Notified body for construction products according to the EU's construction product regulation EU 305/2011 since November 2024 . Our notification applies to doors, windows, traffic noise screens, building glass and curtain walling.

The laboratory is located outside Skövde. Here we help clients to test the acoustical properties of their different products, e.g. construction materials such as isolation, floor structures, wall constructions, doors, air diffusers, absorptive ceilings etc. Frequently we also test products for public spaces e.g. floor and table screens, sound absorbers, couches, chairs, tables, textiles and other materials. In short we can test everything that has an acoustical impact. In addition we can also help you to develop your product, see product development section.

Beside tests related to acoustics, we also perform measurements of air flow and different measurements for furniture industry.
